Roboxi grabs a €13M Seed
49 AI deals, $243M raised, 20 countries
Hey,
Last week, ClickUp announced cutting down its workforce by 22% as it reorganised around a 3:1 ratio of AI agents to humans. The agentic push keeps showing up at the seed stage too, with about 40% of startups building’em.
Here’s how the last week looked like in early stage AI:
May 17-23: Top Line Numbers
49 early-stage AI deals | $243M raised | 20 countries | Median: $3.5M
The split: 28 Seed, 17 Pre-Seed, and 4 Pre-Series A early-stage AI deals.
The number that matters: AI Agents showed up in 41% of deals. 20 out of 49. When a single theme dominates that hard, it’s a market signal, not a coincidence.
Biggest round: Roboxi (€13M Seed).
Where the money went: Developer Tools & AI Infrastructure led with 7 deals. By dollars, Manufacturing & Industrials topped the week at 17% of funding. San Francisco led cities with 4 deals, and New York City followed with 3. The top 5 cities held 40% of funding dollars.
The Signal
1/ Manufacturing and Energy Show Up at Seed: 8 early-stage startups span Manufacturing, Energy this week. Including AVIAN (€2.2M), Shatterdome Energy ($3.5M), Invertix (€1.7M), Hellbender ($12.5M), Salt & Fiber (€300K).
2/ Y Combinator keeps making AI bets: They participated in 4 deals this week.
3/ United Kingdom and India Lead the Week: 67% of deals came from outside the US this week, spanning 20 countries. Notable clusters: New York City (3), London (3), Tel Aviv (2).
Breakout Early-Stage AI Startups
1/ Stilta raised $10.5M Seed in Stockholm. They are building agentic AI for finding prior art buried across patents, papers, and archived web pages. They surface that evidence, then hand lawyers litigation-grade reports with verifiable citations. Andreessen Horowitz led with Y Combinator joining.
2/ Leadbay raised $4.3M Seed in San Francisco. Most prospecting tools miss the small builders, manufacturers, and hotels with thin digital footprints. They use an inference model to surface those hidden buyers, then score and qualify them automatically. Y Combinator led, with Rebel Ventures and Roosh Ventures joining.
3/ Trackk raised $3.7M Seed in Mumbai. The goal is to make the investing journey more intuitive and accessible for young Indians. Lightspeed Venture Partners led, with Info Edge Ventures, Gaurav Munjal, and others participating.
4/ Roboxi raised €13M Seed in Stavanger. They develop multi-functional autonomous solutions to transform inspection and maintenance operations on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons. Backed by Knut Molaug.
5/ NanoCo raised $12M Seed in Tel Aviv. It is developing enterprise-grade AI assistants built upon its open-source framework, NanoClaw. Valley Capital Partners led, with Docker, Vercel, and others participating.
6/ LawX raised €7.5M Seed in Berlin. It is developing an AI-powered operating system designed to automate and simplify the operational workflows of law firms and notaries. Motive Partners led, with WENVEST Capital, xdeck, and others participating.
7/ Sparq announced launching a $8.5M Seed in Ras Al Khaimah. It uses artificial intelligence to automate complex and time-consuming tasks such as coding, asset management, networking, and publishing. They have participation from Andreessen Horowitz’s scout fund already.
8/ AEON raised $8M Pre-Seed in Hong Kong. It is building a settlement layer specifically for the “agentic economy,” where AI agents can independently execute transactions, access services, and settle payments. YZi Labs led, with IDG Capital, HashKey Capital, and others participating.
9/ Neurosoft Bioelectronics raised $7.5M Seed in Geneva. An AI-native health & biotech platform focused on medical devices, biotechnology, and health diagnostics. Skybound Venture Capital led, with PL Capital, IAG Capital Partners, and others participating.
10/ Imperagen raised £5M Seed in Manchester. By creating a continuously refining system, Imperagen takes on the slow, expensive, and often unreliable traditional methods of enzyme engineering, thereby reducing R&D costs and shortening development cycles. PXN Ventures led, with IQ Capital and Northern Gritstone participating.
11/ Greenpixie raised £4.7M Pre-Series A in London. An AI-native energy & sustainability platform focused on cloud computing, conservation technology, data management. VERBUND X Ventures led, with Octopus Ventures, Armajaro Holdings, and Green Angel Ventures participating.
12/ Sychedelic raised $3.5M Seed in Gurugram. The device integrates neurostimulation (like tDCS and binaural beats), biometric tracking (using PPG sensors to monitor HRV), and adaptive artificial intelligence to monitor and respond to a user’s mental state in real-time. TurboStart, Ideabaaz, and Praveek Ventures participated.
Which of the above startups seems the most promising? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks,
Chintan
